On the sunny morning of October 19th 2009 we arrived to the aptly named Sunnday Studios in Murcia, Spain. With little sleep after the previous night's show in Cartagena we met with Joaquín who was going to record two songs for us. Things could have looked better. Rami had lost his voice and everyone was half-dead. With the help of a few cold ones the guys set to record the "Country Song" and "Pieces of Truth". As the day went on the spirit of rock'n'roll started to possess our little souls and all instrumental tracks were recorded in one day.
Next morning Rami was still struggling with his voice and Joaquín suggested that perhaps it would be better to do the vocals later in Finland. With nothing to lose he decided to give it a try. A few slugs of good old JD and both songs were recorded in a few hours. Meanwhile the guys bathed in the sun on our van's backseat, which they had brutally detached and thrown on the street. Onni and Pekka sung their backing tracks and in 36 hours from arriving we had two songs completely recorded. Joaquín did a great job with these Finnish punk trolls and even named the "Country Song" to way cooler "Caballitos". Sweet. With everyone happy the only remaining problem was how to attach the backseat back to the van. It took us a while, but we finally made it and headed for the next show in Alicante.
lyrics
Woke up one morning
I heard a song arrive
Had wasted my luck
I almost felt alive
Wrote parts of it down
Before I had to go
To earn what drink
To learn what I know
Later that night
I met a girl I need
She turned off the lights
I'm in between her sheets
Our bodies were one
Minds so far apart
And I ask myself
Why did we even start
Why can't you see
What you want in life is not for me
And while you sleep
I write down another end to be
Deep end for you and me
She told me of boys
She once had before
Was hooked on a dream
I never could afford
Her future was bright
Mine was in discord
But I chose my life
I never will be bored
Why can't you see
What you want in life is not for me
I dropped from the wheel last century
I will thank you for the time
Your beauty was for me
Part of my history
Why can't you see
What you want in life is not for me
And while you sleep
I write down another end to be
Why can't you see
What you want in life is not for me
And while you sleep
I write down another end to be
Deep end for you and me
Deep end for you and me
Deep end for you and me
Deep end for you and me
